A Meaningful Step Toward Advancing Agricultural Knowledge in Iran
As part of its commitment to sustainable development and improving efficiency in the agricultural sector, Gonabad Industrial Group has launched a series of educational workshops and training classes focused on the fundamentals of scientific maize cultivation across various regions of the country.
Continuing this national initiative, our most recent training session was held in Shush, where we received an enthusiastic welcome from local farmers. During the workshop, our team of experts shared up-to-date agronomic knowledge and practical solutions for enhancing maize production—especially under the hot and arid climate conditions typical of the region.
One of the key topics discussed was modern irrigation techniques aimed at significantly reducing water consumption while optimizing water resource management during the crop cycle. The session explored practical strategies for implementing smart irrigation systems, scientifically managing watering schedules, and minimizing water loss during the growing season
In addition, the importance of adopting a new planting pattern in maize fields was emphasized. This approach focuses on optimizing row spacing, maximizing sunlight and nutrient use efficiency, and reducing intraspecific competition—factors that contribute directly to higher yields and more sustainable cropping systems.
